Sub-Contractor Position
Pay: Starting at $21.00 an hour and up

Family Time visitation facilitators are responsible for safely transporting children in foster care to court-ordered visits with their biological, noncustodial parent(s). Visitation Facilitators will write detailed objective, unbiased reports of parent and child interactions and behaviors and submit reports within a required timeframe. Family Time visitation facilitators will maintain boundaries and professionalism with families, caregivers, social workers, court-appointed workers, and counselors.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 Years of age (State Requirement)

• Must pass a WA State Background Check

• Resume (detailing your work with children)

• Two (2) letters of reference (detailing your work with children)

• GED, High School diploma, College diploma, or transcripts

• One (1) year of documented experience working with children (1 year may include volunteer time or internship)

• OR AA Degree in Human Services or closely related field; OR two years of completed coursework towards a Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year of documented (paid/volunteer) experience working with children and families; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or closely related field and six (6) months of documented (paid/volunteer) experience working with children and families.*

• Current Driver’s License

• Obtain a Full Driving Abstract

• Current CPR/ First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications

• The subcontractor shall maintain an Automobile Policy on all vehicles used to transport children with the following liability minimum limits: $1,000,000 per accident combined single limit.

• Car Seat Training (provided by Reunified Services)

• Business License - All Family Time Visitation Facilitators are responsible to purchase a Limited Liability Company ((LLC) Business License.

• This is a sub-contractor position. Sub-contractors do not have benefits, paid vacation, or paid sick leave.

Responsibilities

• An assigned visitation facilitator is responsible for supervising visits and providing a safe and secure environment that fosters the child’s physical and emotional well-being as they visit with their biological, non-custodial parents at predetermined locations i.e., Reunified Services Visitation Center, DCYF offices, community settings, or in-home

• Family Time visitation facilitators are responsible for safely transporting children in foster care to court-ordered visits with their biological, noncustodial parent(s)

• Visitation Facilitators will write detailed objective, unbiased reports of parent and child interactions and behaviors and submit reports within a required timeframe

• Family Time visitation facilitators will maintain boundaries and professionalism with families, caregivers, social workers, court-appointed workers, and counselors

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry infants and/or young children

• Ability to assure the safety of the children which can require moving quickly

• Ability to sit for long periods of time


Job Skills:

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work with a diverse population in a variety of settings

• Ability to work independently and as a team member

• Proficiency in the use of a computer and/or laptop
